I used to ride with my dad in the potato truck and we would listen to Paul Harvey 's "The Rest of the Story." I miss those long summer days, my dad, and Paul Harvey; but now you may hear the rest of OUR story! ..."Good Day"

Easter Eggs and the "Enchanted" Ending

Easter was fun. Saturday, we missed the Egg Hunt at the neighbors, but we were able to go to a friends house and dye eggs. Abby had a blast! If she could have stayed and dyed eggs all night, she would have.

Sunday, we went to church. Afterwhich, the Easter Bunny came. Originally he/she was to come on Saturday, but unfortunately, the bunny had to pull a shift at Gymboree (who knew???) So Abby's basket didn't get delivered until Sunday. I have posted pictures above; however, I didn't catch her initial reaction with the basket. She had a look of pure delight! When she dug into the basket, the first thing she grabbed was the big chocolate Easter bunny... All I have to say is, "Yep, that's my girl!"

Abby also received the movie "Enchanted" from the Easter Bunny, and because it was such a low-key day, we all sat down and watched it, from beginning to end.

I will post more pictures of that weekend soon!

Peter, Paul, and Mary

Well, nothing new here, except this week I have cut a hole in Abby's pacifier (I am hoping she will not love it as much and soon decide it is too much work for what it's worth). I have also traded her full-size blanket for a handkerchief-sized blanket square. Cross your fingers, I hope they do the trick! Yesterday, we had an addition. Ben was SO good, I just wish mine were THAT good :D They were being all sorts of cute so I had to snap a picture, too bad I was only able to catch "Deer in the headlights"! ...My own little version of Peter, Paul, and Mary.

Like I've got time....

So for several months, many of my family and friends have suggested I start reading the "Twighlight" series, by Stephenie Meyers. Honestly, it didn't sound interesting at all. Wasn't really into highschool romance/vampire stories, you know?

My SIL gave my mom the first book to read, and she really liked it. Even well enough to borrow the second book from a friend. Well that got me thinking, maybe it wasn't half bad. I could use a good read. You know, as I am lazily sitting infront of the television all day... LOL!

So this last time I was out, I decided to pick up the first novel. I read it cover to cover in 36 hours. Now, that might sound like a long time, but I had to do my normal stuff too. I couldn't put it down to save my life. I stayed up late, woke up early just so I could get my fix before I had to work on the computer, make dinner, or anything else... I finished on Sunday and yesterday (Monday) I finished the second book.... I have an addiction. I'm just glad there are only three books in the series! Like I've got time!

Update No. II

I sent Mike to the doctor after Abby and I came home. Mike is diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. He is now on antibiotics too, so hopefully we will ALL feel better soon!

Update from Nurse Chapel

Well, I am coding today, again... But this morning I realized that it was awfully quite. So I went upstairs to check on Abby and Alex. Abby was into my purse. I think she was looking for a quick candy "fix". What she had gotten into was her hearing aid batteries. I could find one, but not the other. I had to assume worst case scenario, which was that she swallowed it.

I called our doctor, and they said to take her over to Instacare (Emergency doctor's office... They treat first come, first served) to have X-rays done. Well besides being freaked out, Abby did quite well for the first X-ray. They came back and said that she hadn't swallowed the battery, BUT she has pneumonia. They wanted to double check, so she went back into have more X-rays. Abby came unglued. She wouldn't hold still, so they had to strap her into a device with her arms above her head. Really pretty awful... only to confirm what they already knew with the first X-ray.

I knew Abby had a lingering cough, as do we all from our sickness last week, but it isn't a bad one... Infact, the doctor hadn't noticed when she listened to Abby breathing, so I don't feel like a neglectful parent, yet....

Can I just say again, I can't wait for Spring!
