Abstract Thoughts and Updates

1.  Abby's IEP (Independant Evaluation Plan) meeting is Friday.  Her teacher called me today to tell me not only was Abby the communication "model" for the other children in her class, but that she tested verbally and comprehension wise at 3 1/2 years, which is terriffic!  She started preschool almost a year behind in both, so she is making big strides to age appropriate communicating.

2.  I bought a curtain (painter's drop cloths) and rod for our bedroom.  After years of buying projects for Mike to do, I still haven't learned when the box says "All Mounting Included" it still means it's not all there... and when you bring the project out for Mike at 9:00pm for him to do, it's too late for the project to be done that night.  (because you still have to buy the extra mountings at Lowe's)  darn, I'm gonna have to wait till tomorrow.

3.  Mike has finally finished school.  I have a guy with a bachelors, who isn't one!  Yeah us!

4.  Pertaining to item #2, Abby was "wowed" by Mike holding the long curtain rod and called him "Big and Strong."  I think it pleased him.

5.  My girl that I picked out on "America's Next Top Model" just got kicked off.  She was one of the final four.  Not bad choosing, but she isn't going to win either.

6.  We are getting family pictures taken on Saturday.  I don't know what's more nerve-racking...  learning it's suppost to snow or deciding on what we will wear.  Do I go complimentary or matchy matchy?

7.  I just saw an article on Oprah's website on the woman who was attacked by the monkey.  Man, and I thought I had struggles.

8.  I have realized I am one of those people who wishes there were more hours in a day.  I used to think that was a weird thing to say, now I don't want to sleep cause I could be doing something then I am groggy in the morning.  I guess I don't know how to balance my life very well.  What's too much?

I'm not really sure what she is doing below.  She didn't get the movie for Halloween, but I guess she wanted a picture with it.  This picture was taken after "Trick or Treating", notice the "crazy eyes" from all the candy and excitement!
